“A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed.”
– Psalm 11:25
We feel truly blessed to work at this law firm. In turn, we are committed to giving back … to our communities, and to those in need. We are honored to focus our giving on three organizations providing essential services to women, children, and families.
Randolph County Family Crisis Center
Our firm’s Executive Director and Owner, Aaron and Lisa Garrison, are Shining Light donors to the Family Crisis Center of Randolph County. The FCC’s non-profit mission is to serve people in crisis from domestic and family violence, sexual assault, and rape, while working to eliminate these issues in our community. FCC’s newest initiative is Emmy’s House Children’s Advocacy Center, which provides a wholistic approach to healing for sexually abused children, including avoiding re-traumatization through coordination and centralization of survivor interviews, investigations, and services.+
Darkness to Light
We also donate to Darkness to Light (“D2L”), a Charleston, South Carolina-based non-profit that empowers adults to prevent child sexual abuse through free training programs and other initiatives. Nearly 2,000,000 adults have undergone training through D2L’s efforts. Children are far less likely to be sexually abused—or continue to be abused—if their parents, friends, and other trusted adults are educated about how to prevent, recognize, and react responsibly to child sexual abuse.
Global Christian Professional Women’s Association
We donate monthly to the non-profit Global Christian Professional Women’s Association. GCPWA aims to foster the professional and spiritual needs of Christian and professional women worldwide, by offering them practical tools to thrive in their communities and workplace while growing their relationship with Jesus Christ. Their services include personal career advice and prayers, telephonic devotionals and book studies, conferences, a library of educational materials, and seminars and workshops in several countries on topics like resume writing, financial empowerment, and faith/workplace dynamics.
